Prof. Ora Nakash is a clinical psycholgist and assistant professor at the School of Psychology at the Interdisciplinary Center in Herzeliya, Israel. She earned her Master’s Summa cum laude in clinical psychology at Tel Aviv University and her doctorate in clinical psychology at Boston University. Prof. Nakash completed two post-doctoral trainings; at the Cambridge Health Alliance/Harvard Medical School, and at the Stone Center/ Jean Baker Miller Training Institute at Wellesley College. Following her training she served as a research associate at the Center for Multicultural Mental Health Research/Harvard Medical School and a staff psychologist at the Cambridge Health Alliance/Harvard Medical School.
Prof. Nakash’s research focuses on the study of the effects of social and cultural factors on mental health with specific interest in implicit cognitive processes and their effect on identity formation and mental health. She is particularly interested in the field of mental health disparities with the goal of improving the access, equity and quality of these services for disadvantaged and minority populations.
