About

Dr. Baudot-Trajtenberg has served as Deputy Governor of the Bank of Israel since March 2014. She is currently also a faculty member of the Economics department at IDC, having previously served as associate dean at both the school of Economics and the Arison school of Business where she headed both the MBA and GMBA programs.
Dr. Baudot-Trajtenberg was born in Montreal, Canada, educated at the University of Montreal where she obtained a B.Sc. in Economics, received her M.A. in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Oxford in England, and went on to obtain a Ph.D. in Economics at Harvard University in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She has taught at Tel Aviv University, at Tufts University in Massachusetts, and at the Tel Aviv-Jaffa College, lecturing in Public Finance, Macroeconomics, The Economy of Israel and Issues in Economics of Globalization.
Dr. Baudot-Trajtenberg has over 20 years of experience in the Banking sector and has been a dominant voice within the financial community on matters of both international and domestic finance and banking as well as economic development in Israel and abroad. She has written on economic issues concerning the region, such as the economic consequences of Peace in the region, the economic impact of the intifada amongst others.
