FAQ

Is the program designed for students of all faculties and departments?
Students from all faculties entering their final year of studies at the IDC may apply for the Zell Entrepreneurship Program. However, the candidates are required to complete a course in fundamentals of finance, taken no later than the second semester of the application year (mandatory for students from all schools except for psychology, as well as for CS students who complete the relevant courses in the minor in entrepreneurship). Completion of courses in Marketing and Accounting is highly recommended.
We are looking for highly motivated students with good command of the English language (speaking, reading and writing), relevant work and project experience (including exposure to entrepreneurship) and demonstrated leadership abilities.

Can I sign up to the program although I'm not an IDC student?
The Zell Program is designed for undergraduates in their final year at the IDC. In case you are a student in a different academic institution, unfortunately the program is not open for you. If you already have a bachelor degree, you're invited to read more about IDC Beyond, a full-time one-year graduate level program for entrepreneurial leadership and global impact.

Is the submission of an idea for a venture mandatory?
Yes. The venture proposal is a critical part of the application process and is mandatory. If accepted to the program, together with your group, you'll be able to choose whether to continue with the idea or start working on a new concept idea.

Will I be able to work during my year at the Zell program?
Participating in the Zell program is highly demanding, as the students are required to work under a very tight schedule. Working a part time job is optional, although we encourage the Zell students to not work during the year. In addition, if you have a packed school schedule, family commitments or any other serious time considerations, the Zell Program may not be right for you. If, on the other hand, you are able to commit yourself fully to the program and eventually your future team, then the Zell Program could be a great way for you to finish your degree.

I am in my last year of studies and planning to extend it by one more year in order to participate in the Zell Program. What is the tuition that I would need to pay Zell, if at all?
This year the school tuition for Zell students who have already completed their studies is 7,000 NIS.

Is the program designed for foreigner students as well?
Definitely. We always welcome international students at IDC and the program is fully taught in English.

I'm about to participate in a student's exchange program in the next fall. Is the Zell program still relevant for me?
Participating in the program is highly demanding, as the students are required to fulfill a variety of tasks regarding their ventures during the entire year. Therefore, the students accepted to Exchange Programs for fall 2017 may not apply to Zell.
