Dr. Boaz Ganor,

Boaz Ganor is the Associate Dean of the Lauder School of Government, the founder and Executive Director of the International Institute for Counter-Terrorism (ICT), and the head of the Homeland Security Studies Programs (Graduate degree, Executive program and Bachelor specialization) at the Interdisciplinary Center (IDC), Herzliya, Israel. He is also the founder and Chairman of the International Academic Counter Terrorism Community (ICTAC).
In 2008-2009 Dr. Ganor was a Koret Distinguished Visiting Fellow at Hoover Institution, Stanford University, and was teaching undergraduate counter terrorism courses at Stanford University – (International Relations program), as well as graduate courses at Goldman public policy school at UC Berkeley.
Dr. Ganor’s PhD Dissertation is - Israel’s Counter-Terrorism Strategy – Efficacy versus Liberal – Democratic Values, Political Science, The Hebrew University, Jerusalem, Israel, 2002. His M.A. Thesis in Political Science was - : Terrorism and Public Opinion in Israel, Tel-Aviv University, Israel, 1989.
Dr. Ganor is a member of the International Advisory Council of the International Centre for Political Violence and Terrorism Research at the Institute of Defense and Strategic Studies (IDSS), Nanyang Technological University, The Republic of Singapore. And a co-founder of the International Centre for the Study of Radicalization and Political Violence (ICSR), a partnership of University of Pennsylvania, USA, the Interdisciplinary Center, Israel, King’s College, London, and the Regional Center on Conflict Prevention (RCCP), Jordan. Dr. ganor was a Senior Fellow at The Memorial Institute for Prevention of Terrorism (MIPT), Oklahoma City, USA; and a member at the International Advisory Team of the Manhattan Institute (CTCT) to the New-York Police Department (NYPD).
Dr. Ganor was a Member of the Israeli Delegation to the Trilateral (American-Palestinian-Israeli) Committee for Monitoring Incitement to Violence and Terrorism and a Member of The Israeli National Committee for Homeland Security Technologies. He served as an advisor on Counter-Terrorism to several Israeli ministries and the Israeli National Security Council. Dr. Ganor also advised Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on his book Fighting Terrorism – How democracies can defeat domestic and international terrorism.
Dr. Ganor has published numerous articles on terrorism and counter-terrorism. His book - The Counter-Terrorism Puzzle – A guide for decision makers (Transaction Publishers, 2005), is being used as a text book in many universities worldwide. He is also the editor of Post Modern Terrorism, (Transaction Publishers, 2006) and co-editor of Trends in International Terrorism and Counter-Terrorism (2007), and of Hypermedia Seduction for Terrorist Recruiting (NATO Science for Peace and Security Series: Human and Societal Dynamics, Volume 25, 2007).
