Summer Induction Program
The Summer Induction Program (a 'SIP' of Zell) is designed to both challenge students and provide a taste of what the Zell Program is all about. Students prepapre for SIP in a series of meeting throughout the summer and then complete an intensive ten day initiation to the program, focusing on innovation and idea development, but including lectures on diverse topics meant to help instill entrepreneirual mindset and provide students the tools to kick start their venture creation process.
The platform of SIP starts with academic and practical lectures, provided by both the Zell faculty and industry professionals and entrepreneurs in topics including innovation management, leadership, negotiations, group dynamics, IP law, marketing strategy and a series of discussion with entrepreneurs who come to share their own entrepreneurial experience.
Students are assessed on their interpersonal skills and ability to implement and demonstrate their knowledge and experience in intense group projects and presentations.
Following SIP, the admissions committee makes a final decision and chooses the participants who will begin their last year of studies at the IDC in the Zell Entrepreneurship Program. About twenty students are accepted into the Zell Program each year.
